Copenhagen has an iconic deep green that runs through the city. From its 4,000 street benches to park gates, street doors, and more. The green is part of the city’s identity and its heritage.

Together with adidas we are taking the design of the Lions’ player jerseys to an unprecedented level, by weaving the history of the capital into the fabric of the shirt.

This is reflected in the design of the shirt, which originates from the dark green colour, which has been present in the capital’s streets since the 19th century, and which has since become a defining expression of the city’s identity.

In addition to the Copenhagen green colour and the iconic pattern inspired by the city's design heritage, the shirt’s print typography is also inspired by Copenhagen street signs.
